Newsbreak!

I interrupt this regularly scheduled blog to announce. ... This is starting out to be one crappy day!

I'm headed off to the doctor this morning but I've suddenly developed rickets or some other mysterious ailment that has manifested itself as a nasty rash over a sizable portion of my body. The itchy red bumps kept me up a good portion of the night and are driving me crazy.

If that weren't bad enough I have just discovered that Scrabulous (scrabble on facebook) has been shutdown for all North American users. How am I going to screw off now?

I'll be back later with my regularly scheduled blog where I'll give you my recipe for becoming a writer.

  1. Hi Travis,

I hope it is nothing serious.

Looking forward to the writer recipe post.

  2. Travis -

That sounds almost like an allergic reaction to something more than rickets. I hope that is all it is and you're back to normal soon.

Scrabulous is no longer available to Americans on Facebook? Just great. I bet GWB had something to do with this! (Just kiddin'. :D )

    One word: Twitter!

You can join Twitter and chat up me and Spy, (and some agents), just to name a few!

Agree w/Pretzel. Rash sounds more like allergic reaction. Something you ate? At least you know rash is not from lettuce. lol

  5. I'm pretty sure that's shingles. Did you ever have chicken pox? It's the same virus that causes this, and it usually only happens in folks who've had chicken pox.

  6. oh no! Hope you're better soon...

Wonder why scrabulous is gone. Bookworm adventures is a passable substitute...

  8. Monnik,

I think I head something about the makers of Scrabble suing the on-line imitators. they may have ducked for cover 'til the lawsuits are over.

  9. Online Mah Jong! True, it doesn't help with ones vocabulary, but it is horribly addictive.

I hope it is not catching because everyone we know has touched said rash. We all told him it was a scratch. hahaha. now he has it all over. We told him it was nothing. Haha nothing has turned to something, and no one is touching him.

  14. Good Luck, Travis! I'm still treating my dog's pox with frequent oatmeal/tea tree baths and antiseptic lidocaine. And that's only 50 pounds worth of rash-covered surface area. I feel for ya.

  15. An itchy rash can be torture.
Hope your skin is calming down.

  16. Maybe some wierd insect bit you while you were fishing in New Mexico, or, god forbid, your dog brought fleas in from outside. You might use calamine lotion to ease the itchiness.

  17. Maybe the screwing off caused the rash. At least that's what the nuns used to say :-)

  18. You could take up online bridge. Much more fun.

    Hope all is well!

  19. Ack! Massive sympathy on the itching. :( I'm hideously allergic to the bit of any creature with more than four legs, and have nightmares about itching. I hope your doctor can give you something for it. {{}}

  20. You can play REAL scrabble online, you know..?
I hope the rash (potential poison ivy/oak,) clears up soon. Fortunately I'm not allergic to those plants, myself, so I'll never suffer as you are now. Errr...sorry. I WILL have a beer in your honor, however!
