Progress is a Good Thing

I know many of you are huge chocoholics. I myself have a bit of a sweet tooth so I enjoy some from time to time, but I've never been an addict and I can't say that I've ever had any chocolate cravings ... until now. Check this site out.

Did you look? Well in case you're too lazy I'll tell you they sell BACON filled chocolate in the shape of a flying pig. That's some sweet meat if I've ever heard of any. Man do I wanna try some of this. As usual, my wife thinks I'm crazy.

Somewhere on the net, I ran across this same idea of bacon strips covered in chocolate. I'm usually someone who will try almost anything, but I have to agree with your wife and I'll pass on this one.

I told my wife how tasty that looked. Not only did she think it was gross, she said, "I don't even want to know how you found that on the internet."

Cheers!

It's gross. Trust me Travis. Totally gross. I love chocolate and have been known to dip a barely - cooked T - bone in chocolate sauce. Bacon and chocolate? It's a no - go. Listen to your wife on this one.

Oh and Bacon Mints? GAG! They even stink like pig poo.

Chocolate and pork are two of my favorite things.

"This whimsical chocolate creation came about while I was chatting with my friend Mo, who was part of the inspiration behind our bacon + chocolate bar. I wanted to create a fun party favor for his upcoming nuptials with chocolate of course. Something unexpected for the guests; a parting gift to bring a smile to their faces...a flying pig made of bacon and chocolate! I loved the concept and design so much that I decided to mix up another batch of flying pigs for all our bacon fans to enjoy."

I think I would have left Katrina out of the wedding...

So not trying this! What if it turned out to be scrumptious? And I got hooked on bacon + chocolate? Yikes!

I'm a total chocoholic, and I've been known to eat bacon, like yesterday on a turkey and avocado sandwich. Yum. But chocolate and bacon together? And pay $12 for it? No, thanks.

Let us know how it tastes, Travis.

Very cool site! I bet that would taste really good, if I liked bacon!

holy shit!....chocolate and bacon..don't get much better than that..my cousin who happens to live in ark. (im sure that has nothing to do with it) called me and told me he had discovered floured bacon...you season flour like for chicken fried steak and then you dredge the bacon in it and fry it...he was so excited...then we had a discussion about how he cant get his blood sugar down below 400...judas priest..

What?! I love bacon. And I love chocolate. But holy heck, together?

Travis, its certainly interesting and I would have at one time given it a try, but I've sworn off pork now because of the sulphites.

My preference is dark chocolate, not too sweet with a good kick of cocoa to jump start the afternoon or evening. A brand I've been eating lately is Cote d'Or which has variating levels of cocoa: from milk chocolate to dark in percentages of 60%, 70% and 90%.

Someone gave me some chocolate covered sesame seeds recently. Like you, I don't really crave chocolate. But those little, tiny seeds were delicious. I just wanna know what little, tiny person dips each one in chocolate? ~Karen

You remind me of the dog on the begging strips commercial... BACON...BACON,BACON,BACON.

I have a friend who is the closest thing to a hippie I've ever known. We had a party over here and he decided that it would be a good idea to bring chocolate covered ants over. Disgusting...

But Bacon, never underestimate the power of salty and sweet together...Like some of my favorites... French fries in a Frosty, or Whopper in your buttered popcorn at the movies... or my recently discovered Funyuns in cake icing... delish....
