Speaking of Nuttiness

No Two Line Tuesday from me this week as I've only been revising and tweaking my query letter and haven't done much reading either, so you'll have to head over to Women of Mystery for that fix.

I do have some pictures from the Vegas trip.

From Left to right- Rob, Me, and Jerry. Notice the large white binder in my right hand. Yes, That is the completed manuscript of Plundered Booty and yes, I am anal enough to take it to Vegas to keep tweaking. This is a shot from the airport as we arrived. And that is my wife Jennifer peeking over Jerry's shoulder.

Jerry living out his conquistador fantasy inside the Wynn Casino.

The closest I've gotten to the the Big Apple thus far.

The following shots were all taken in Pampas Brazilian Grille which as I said before wasn't all that great, but that didn't stop us from cutting up, no doubt to the irritation of the other diners.

Janet was thirsty. I was hungry. And me and my TWO wives. Don't worry I'm not really part of that polygamist sect, but since my wife and Janet are seemingly joined at the hip that has become the running joke. In case you're wondering my shirt reads, Surrender the Booty.

And this one should sum it all up very nicely ...

Looks like a great trip! On a recent vacation I saw a shirt that said "Surrender the Booty" and I was this --> <-- close to buying it for you.

I'm a big Vegas fan, and I'm not even much of a gambler. I like the spectacle and the eye candy, the entertainments, and now the many yummy restaurants. Sorry the Pampas Grille didn't quite make the cut (of meat). The whole LV aesthetic of excess kind of works for me, even the crusty, Elvis-y, ashtray-covered Vegas of yore.

Looks like you all had a blast and good! I'd worry about anyone who couldn't find laughs in Vegas.

Glad you're back home safe and sound...er, well, safe at least.

LOL! I so would have taken the same picture under the same sign.
What a great crowd to travel with!

What a group! I'm so glad y'all had a blast. There's nothing quite like Vegas.

Woo Hoo! Looks like it was a total blast... can you send me your shirt?

I think I'd just step aside if I saw this group coming down the Vegas strip.

That binder would make a good weapon as well if anyone tried to mug you.

Sure looks like you had a great time! And good job taking the manuscript with you; it's a true sign of a true writer, I think. :)

Yeah, you guys had a good time, especially at the Brazilian Grill! Of course, I was laughing because since I know most of the principal characters in the pictures! Yeah, y'all had a very good time!

Vegas is fun...pure and simple. I don't know if it is right and I can't take more than a couple of days at a time there (mostly because it is too expensive to keep losing at the tables), but it is always fun.

Rowdy is acceptable behavior there which may explain the "funness". While I was there, a group of very drunk party-goers jumped into a just about to be snapped picture of a couple of other drunk party-goers. They then proceded to invite EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CASINO to join them in the picture. Some did.

The result. The picture was snapped and everyone just staggered on their way.

Fun.

Love the last photo, fits.

Looks like you had a great trip. Now that your brain is rested you can begin a new manuscript.

Yes you ALL are a little nuts! But gotta love it! Great photos. Hmmm...the 2 wives things brings up a thought...since my hubby and his best friend are joined at the hip does that mean I have 2 husbands...oh that could be interesting...*wicked grin*! LMAO!
thanks for a great post...but have to ask what is the 'white binder' a script or book?
Hugs,
Robyn

Maybe you could work that into your query - taking your MS along to tweak? Bet you could come up with something funny. Doubt agents see a line like that very often.

I spy veggies on that plate!!

So did you actually work on the manuscript? Looks like fun.

Wow - you look like you had a blast. I need a vacation like that! And don't worry - I always drag my manuscript with me wherever I go, too.

Ah, good times. I love Vegas. It's only about 3 and half hours away, but it's been too long since I've been there... Now, I'm ready to hop in the car and head on over!
