The reality is like a smack in the face. I'm so sorry that you and your family lost so much Travis.
I can't wait until you start blogging about the rebuilding because we can all rejoice in the fact that from out of the ashes arose a new home for my favorite Pirate. :) Of course then you'll be a Phoenix Pirate but a pirate none the less.
Hang in there Travis! We love you and are sending you waves of positive "vibes" as well as material comfort. So glad that you folks walked away. Warm Aloha, Friend!
WOW How heart wrenching that is. I hope all is going well in the healing process. You have a great support network. You are still in my thoughts and prayers
How sad to see one's physical belonging reduced to that. Remember though, it wasn't your life, it was your things. Your life, your family, is still with you as are all your bloggy friends. Even with the destruction, I can see in the distance the beauty of the area where you live. I hope you can see the beauty in it again soon.

I know the reality isn't pretty right now, T. Sending well wishes & good luck & all the prayers I can muster your way.
Oh Travis! So very, very sad. Yet, what a praise that the boys weren't home and that you and the mrs got out safely.
Hang in there.
It must be so heartbreaking for you to look at. I really feel for you, Travis.
Your experience has caused me to check our fire extinguishers and put more about the house, revise our exit strategies and check our fire alarms.
Suck is when life chooses your stuff to give firefighters a place to practice their craft. It get's better dude.
Horrific. Amazing, but wonderful, that you escaped.
Damn.
I went through this about ten years ago - it's a nightmare. But it'll work out with time.
Best wishes
Heart-wrenching to see from a distance in photos. I just can't imagine how you felt. Continuing to send warmest thoughts your way.
Continuing to pray for the Erwin family, and hope you have a good place to stay "in the meantime." ((((((Travis))))))
Wow, when you said "total loss", you weren't exaggerating.
I hope the re-building process gets started asap!!
My kids can't bear to go past their intact childhood home. I can't imagine what looking at this is like.
Powerful, disturbing pictures.
Travis, it's amazing that everyone survived. That has to give you something to hang on to.
As I view the pics I can't help but envision forest fires and how through their devastation, they bring a new beginning.
Sending good thoughts for a fabulous new start.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, it's all been said, I guess. I am soglad you are all ok.
It took a great level of acceptance on your part to share the photos. Thanks for posting them.
Wow. That is something. It's flattened, practically.
Crap.
Wow, as you said, not much left
Wow - you're right. Not much left... Continued prayers coming your way from the Monnik household.
So glad no one was injured.
A sad sight indeed.

So sorry Travis. Am over from Bubblewench's and sending good thoughts.
First time visitor.
Sorry to see your house laying in ruins.
My father had a small construction and remodeling business, and did smoke damage and fire restoration too.
So I've seen many a house that caught on fire, from grease in the kitchen to a Christmas tree that was too dry.
You seem to have a lot of support from bloggers the world over.
Hang in there. And God bless.
Travis, I'm so sorry for your loss.
What a tragedy! The light at the end of the tunnel is the safety of you and your family. That's truly a blessing.

I am so sorry for all the heartache you and your family have suffered. I found you through Janie, Sounding Forth. We are close, Dalhart. So sorry.
Oh my God, you truly have to see it to believe it. Oh, Travis...
That old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words is so true. In this case, unfortunately so. I'm so sorry!
Hang in there Travis! We love you and are sending you waves of positive "vibes" as well as material comfort. So glad that you folks walked away.
